This is simplicity in itself. A small piece of micro chenille, 3 or 4 CDC plumes and some dubbing. Although it is a relatively simple and easy fly to tie it is easily one of the best dry imitations I have ever used for trout that are tuned into sipping hatching midge from the water's surface. The chenille can be altered to suit the colour of midge you are trying to imitate but if you are looking for a reliable pattern for flat calm rising trout then this is one to have in your box.
